Dear students, faculty, and staff,
As we look ahead to celebrating students who will graduate this spring, I write to invite each of you – and especially undergraduate and graduate members of the Class of 2026 – to nominate potential keynote speakers for commencement. Inviting distinguished guests to offer our graduates words of wisdom is a memorable way to recognize our students’ accomplishments and to shine a light on ůůֱ²¥â€™s values in the world.
Everyone in the ůůֱ²¥ community is eligible to nominate potential speakers. I encourage you to think boldly and expansively in your nominations, proposing individuals whose accomplishments and passions will inspire our students and uplift the College’s mission and legacy.
While the keynote speaker nomination form will remain open year-round, speaker nominations for 2026 will need to be received by 5 p.m. Friday, October 17. An ad hoc Commencement Speaker Committee, including representatives from the senior class, will review nominations and make recommendations to me.
